Hello,
My name is David Freer and I started PlantsFromParadise.com in June 2005.  Even though trees are a cornerstone of life in South Florida I noticed a few trends in landscaping that were troubling.

First of all,  the big-name, big-box retailers are not providing the best quality and price in their landscaping departments.  Try getting help at one of those places!

On the other hand there are many lawn maintenance people who slap landscape "design" on the side of their trailer without truly knowing how the plants grow.

Working with customers is enjoyable for many reasons.  When the landscaping is complete customers are usually smiling.  It's a time to think about growth and nature and beauty. 

Greatest of all, with the computer print-out, the customer will see exactly what they are getting and at what cost.

For the past year, I have been blogging about some experiences as an environmentally conscious entrepreneur. 


Lastly, I created the online forum 'Let's Talk About Plants' (www.letstalkaboutplants.com) for people to discuss landscaping and plants in South Florida.
